SCALE Terms of Use

Version of 3 November 2026.

1What Scale is

SCALE by split/build at https://scale.splitbuild.net (the "Service") is a project management tool for teams. It is provided by ApplePie creative agency OG, Wagramer Straße 110, 1220 Wien, Austria, commercial register no. FN 681220 w, Commercial Court of Vienna ("ApplePie", "we", "us"); see the legal notice at https://scale.splitbuild.net/imprint. Access is limited to demo accounts that ApplePie creates; there are no plans, prices or payments at this address.

By signing in and using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Businesses only. The Service is intended for businesses and professionals, not for consumers (Verbraucher within the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act, KSchG).

1aOperator and separate services

This website and service at scale.splitbuild.net are operated by ApplePie creative agency OG, Wagramer Straße 110, 1220 Wien, Austria (FN 681220 w). The service at scale.splitbuild.ru is a separate service of a different operator, governed by its own terms and privacy policy, for which ApplePie is not responsible. Accounts created on scale.splitbuild.ru are not valid here, and accounts of this service are not valid there.

2Definitions

Workspace — a separate area of the Service with its own members and data.

Administrator — a member who manages a workspace and the rights of its other members.

Your content — everything you or your members place in the Service.

3Your account

Accounts on this service are created by ApplePie only; there is no self-registration. You are responsible for keeping the credentials you received confidential. Report any unauthorised access to support@splitbuild.net.

4Your content stays yours

We acquire no rights in your content. We store, show and process it only to make the Service work: to show it to your members, index it for search, forward it to the integrations you connect, and keep backups.

You are responsible for having the right to post your content and for it not breaking the law or infringing anyone's rights.

5What you may not do

  • break the law, infringe third-party rights or disclose someone else's confidential information;
  • try to reach another workspace or to circumvent permission checks;
  • probe the Service for vulnerabilities without consent — although a good-faith report to support@splitbuild.net is welcome;
  • place load that disrupts the Service, including automated requests beyond the published limits;
  • resell or commercially exploit access to the Service;
  • upload malicious code or send spam through the integrations.

Breaching any of these is grounds for suspension.

6Third-party integrations

The Service can connect to Telegram, email, Zoom, Google Calendar and other systems. By connecting an integration you instruct us to pass the relevant data to that service and accept its own terms.

7AI assistants and artificial intelligence features

You may connect an AI assistant (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Grok) to your account through MCP. The assistant acts with the permissions you approve on the consent screen and never with more than your own access rights; you can disconnect it at any time in Scale → Integrations → Connected apps. What the assistant reads is processed by its provider under the provider's own terms (see the Privacy Policy, section 7). You are responsible for what you ask an assistant to do in your name.

The Service itself can use language models for summaries, call transcription, suggestions and task breakdown. By enabling these features you agree that the relevant text and audio are sent to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy.

A model's output is a suggestion, not a fact. Check it before relying on it for anything with legal or financial consequences. A workspace administrator can disable AI features entirely.

8Availability and liability

The Service is provided free of charge and "as is", without any guarantee of availability, fitness for a purpose or continued operation. It may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time.

To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the Service. This does not limit liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.

9Backups and export

Backups exist to restore the Service, not to replace your own archive. You may export your data through the interface and the external API at any time.

10Ending use

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. Access may be suspended for a breach of section 5 or a security threat. After an account is deleted, data is erased within the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.

11Changes to these terms

We will announce changes in the interface or by email before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you live remain unaffected.
